Shooting under investigation in Rock Hill, South Carolina

ROCK HILL, SC – Police are investigating after a shooting occurred in Rock Hill on Saturday.

It happened on Southland Drive, which is near the intersection of Albright Road and Mt. Holly Road.

Details about the shooting are limited at this time. It is unclear if anyone was injured or if anyone was detained.

Officers diverted traffic in response to the shooting and did not allow anyone to enter the Southland Park neighborhood. People were asked to avoid the area due to traffic congestion.

WCNC Charlotte is working to learn more about the investigation. A WCNC Charlotte crew at the scene saw police vehicles and sheriff’s office vehicles at the scene.
