Three injured in serious accident on Stoney Trail

One person suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash on Stoney Trail Saturday afternoon.

Emergency medical services say two other people were injured, but their injuries are not life-threatening.

The collision occurred around 4 pm on Stoney Trail between Nose Hill Drive Northwest and Trans-Canada Highway.

The accident caused traffic disruptions that caused hundreds of vehicles to try to circulate through the area.

The investigation into the causes of the collision continues.
