EF2 tornado confirmed southwest of Indianapolis Sunday night

Indianapolis, IN – An EF2 tornado touched down in Knox County Sunday night causing significant damage.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, meteorologists confirmed that the tornado produced EF2 level damage. Additional damage in Daviess and Western Martin counties was attributed to straight-line winds. More information is expected to be released as evaluations continue. Following the tornado, the weather forecast for Indiana calls for a mix of conditions. Mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers are expected today in eastern Indiana, while other areas will remain dry. High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to low 70s. As the week progresses, Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies with a warming trend, raising temperatures to a high of 73 degrees. Partly cloudy conditions will prevail on Friday with temperatures reaching a high of 77 degrees.
