One dead, 26 injured in Ohio shooting: reports

AKRON, Ohio-

A shooting on a street in Akron, Ohio, killed one man and injured 26 other people early Sunday morning, according to local media reports.

The shooting reportedly occurred after midnight near Kelly Avenue and 8th Avenue.

Initial reports said a 27-year-old man died while dozens of injured people were transported to area hospitals.

The Akron police and fire departments and a representative from the mayor’s office did not immediately respond to an email seeking additional information.
