One dead and three injured in shooting in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 39-year-old man was killed and three others were injured after a shooting on the city’s east side Saturday night, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers were called to the intersection of North Ohio Avenue and Toronto Street shortly after 11:00 pm for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found four people with gunshot wounds.

Police said one of those victims, Ein Johnson, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Three other victims were also taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Police said two of the victims were transported in critical condition. The condition of a third victim was described as “stable.”

It is unclear what led to the shooting. There is no suspect information available at this time.
