Rupert Murdoch marries his fifth wife, Elena Zhukova, in a ceremony at a vineyard in California

Almost radiant in front of the camera, Rupert Murdoch, at 93, has married for the fifth time with a girlfriend only a quarter of a century younger.

Wedding photographs released Sunday show Murdoch, the media mogul, in high spirits with his new wife, Elena Zhukova, 67, a Moscow-born former molecular biologist. The bride wore an off-white off-the-shoulder wedding dress, while her new husband looked dapper in a dark suit, white shirt, and yellow patterned tie.

Succession, the hit television series, inspired in part by the internal disputes of Murdoch and his children (he has six in total), could not have created a fairytale ending for the world’s most influential media mogul.

The published photos (three in total) show Murdoch’s new wife tenderly hugging him while holding a bouquet of lily-of-the-valley flowers.
