George Beiswinger Obituary - Audubon, PA

George L. Beiswinger of Audubon, PA, at age 88 passed away on August 16, 2012. Beloved husband of 62 years of Virginia (nee) Graves. Beloved father of Anne Stone and Bill Beiswinger (Carol). Devoted grandfather of Leah and Alec Beiswinger. He is also survived by his beloved sister Jean Hulett (John) of Longview TX and his nieces and nephews. George was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington U. St. Louis and a master’s degree in justice from Temple. He worked in corporate communications serving as vice president of Acme Markets. He was elected to the College of Fellows of the Public Relations Society of America. Additionally, as a freelancer he wrote and published more than 100 articles. Since retiring, he created Elder Mirth, a self-distributed subscription service in 2004. His two humor books published in 1997 and 2008 proved to be very popular, especially among older people. George’s sharp sense of humor and wit were always a source of delight to his family and friends. Memorial gifts may be sent to Paoli Hospital Foundation, Bldg 1, Ste 205, 255 W.
