Jacksonville 95ers’ season ends in the second round of the Basketball League playoffs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville 95ers’ inaugural season came to an end in the second round of the Basketball League playoffs, when they fell 2-0 to the Raleigh Firebirds in the best-of-three series.

Jacksonville lost the first game of the series 127-99 and the second 115-112.

The 95ers were without their leading scorer, Dylon Cormier, who averaged around 18 points per game in the regular season.

Despite the unwanted finish, the 95ers shined in their first season, earning the number one seed and a first-round bye for the Eastern Conference playoffs by having the best regular season record in their conference.
