One dead, teen injured in Ahwatukee shooting

PHOENIX (AZ Family) – A man was killed and a teenager was seriously injured after being shot several times overnight in the Ahwatukee area.

The shooting prompted a police response around midnight near 48th Street and Warner Road. Officers found a man who had been shot and died at the scene and a teenager who was also shot multiple times.

The teen was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition, police said.

No suspicious information was immediately provided.

The area is cordoned off by police and they will remain in the area investigating until 8 a.m. Wednesday.
