Houston woman found dead in alligator jaws

HOUSTON – A Houston woman who had previously been reported missing was found dead Tuesday in the jaws of an alligator near a swamp in Clear Lake.

The cause of the woman’s death is unknown, but police are investigating the incident as a possible alligator attack due to how she was found. Clear Lake is also known as the Bay Area.

According to KHOU, he went for a walk Monday night and never returned. Her husband reported her missing early Tuesday morning.

Alligator attacks in Texas are rare, but they can occur, says the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Alligator sightings, on the other hand, are common in Houston.
