Average gas price in Los Angeles County rises slightly

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – The average price for a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent on Saturday to $4.783, a day after falling two-tenths of a cent.

The average price is a tenth of a cent higher than a week ago, but 15.1 cents lower than a month ago and 14.1 cents lower than a year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is down $1.711 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The average price in Orange County rose a tenth of a cent to $4.699, a day after remaining unchanged. That’s 1.6 cents higher than a week ago, but 13.8 cents lower than a month ago and 16.1 cents lower than a year ago.

The average price in Orange County is down $1.76 since it hit a record high of $6,459 on October 5, 2022.

The national average price fell half a cent to $3.509, a day after a four-day streak of total increases of 3.4 cents ended with a decline of one-tenth of a cent. That’s up 1.3 cents from a week ago and up 2.2 cents from a month ago, but down 2 cents from a year ago.

The national average price is down $1,507 since it hit a record high of $5,016 on June 14, 2022.
