A few more showers on Friday before a big weekend.

A few more showers on Friday before a big weekend.

Rain is expected to return on Friday, but impacts today will be much less than what we had yesterday over the holiday. A complex of showers and storms is moving from south-central Illinois into the southwestern part of Indiana. They will shift east-northeastward with rain moving into central Indiana this morning. The heaviest will affect the southern counties. For the most part, showers today will be isolated to very scattered with most of what we see happening during the morning hours. A cold front will move through the state later today and before that we could see a few more scattered showers or a thunderstorm in the early afternoon.

Today will also be very dry. We will continue to have humidity and temperatures will rise into the 80s this afternoon.

It will be a wonderful night to be at the ballpark. There will be fireworks at Victory Field again tonight when the Indians take on the Louisville Bats.

The weekend is looking fabulous, with sunshine, lower humidity and temperatures that will be near or slightly below average for this time of year. Enjoy!
