Man shot dead in east Oak Cliff; arrest warrant issued for suspect, Dallas police say

A man was found dead on the evening of July 4 in east Oak Cliff, and Dallas police say they are looking to arrest a suspect in connection with the shooting.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a call of a shooting at a home in the 2100 block of 52nd Street, near South Lancaster Road. Officers found Hector Alvarez Rosales, 46, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police identified a suspect in the shooting as Angel Alejandro, 26, and said a warrant has been issued for his arrest for murder.

According to police, Alejandro and Rosales knew each other. Police did not provide further information about the shooting or indicate what evidence led to Alejandro being identified as a suspect.
