It’s hot, hot, hot.

It’s hot, hot, hot.

It’s hot, hot, hot.

We are no strangers to this, as it has been warmer for weeks, but these “wind chills” reaching close to 110 degrees are downright dangerous.

Also, about half of our viewing area is under a heat advisory, but if I’m honest, and I always am, advisory or no advisory, you’re all at risk for heat-related illness if you don’t take proper care of yourself.

If you’ve ever wondered what body temperature is and how we determine that number, here you go.

It feels like temperatures combine wind or humidity with the actual air temperature. Basically, if the humidity is higher during this time of year, the temperature feels like it’s increased and the skin feels warmer.

That said, take today’s weather seriously and prepare to warm up quickly with some sudden showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.

Remember your pets, their paws can burn quickly too!
