Shaboozey to headline 2024 Illinois State Fair

Crossover artist Shaboozey, who appeared on Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter,” will take the final spot in the grandstand at the Illinois State Fair on Aug. 18.

Tickets are priced between $20 and $30 and go on sale through Ticketmaster on Saturday.

Other Grandstand shows are also on sale from Ticketmaster and the Grandstand Box Office, open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Shaboozey’s album “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going” debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200 and was praised by The New York Times for “bringing hip-hop to country.”

The album’s hit single, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Grandstand will not host entertainment on opening night due to harness racing. Rock band Gin Blossoms (“Hey Jealousy,” “Heard It From You”) will perform a free show on the Grand Central Stage at the south end of Reisch Arena.

The State Fair will be held from August 8-18.

August 9

Country music star Keith Urban will perform with special guest MacKenzie Porter.

August 10th

Heavy metal band Mötley Crüe returns to Springfield with Phil X and The Drills in tow.

August 11

Former trucker Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform with special guest Ashley McBryde.

August 13

Country singer Jordan Davis was announced in February and will perform alongside special guest Ashley Cooke.

August 14th

BET Award-winning rapper Lil Wayne tops the list.

August 15th

The popular musical group Jonas Brothers will perform several of their hits during the second week of the fair.

August 16th

Two-time Grammy Award-winning Chicago band The Smashing Pumpkins will perform. The opening act will be PVRIS (pronounced like Paris).

17 of August

Country music star Miranda Lambert will perform on the fair’s final night. Former college football player turned music artist Gavin Adcock will open for Lambert.
