JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — Leaders in Tennessee’s oldest city are preparing to launch another year of the Jonesborough Days Festival.

The celebration will take place from June 4-6, and each day will be packed with live music, hundreds of vendors, kids’ activities, food trucks, and a beer garden.

Festivities begin Thursday morning at 10 a.m. with a parade, then there will be vendors, food, and music on site throughout the day. The celebration continues all day Friday. Then on Saturday, a fireworks show will close out this year’s festival at 10 p.m.

City of Jonesborough Special Events Director Amber Crumley told News Channel 11 that the festival has become a tradition in the community and parents bring their children to the Independence Day celebration they attended as children.

“I think Jonesborough is full of traditions and I think this is just another one,” she said. “Because it’s the 54th year, we have some of the same traditions that we did. We always start with the parade, which is happening tomorrow at 10 a.m., Thursday the 4th. And then, of course, we always end with the fireworks.”
