Fort Worth woman charged with murder after body found in plastic container

A Fort Worth woman faces a murder charge after a man was found dead inside a plastic storage container last month, according to police.

Fort Worth police said in a statement Wednesday that The Dallas Morning News On June 5, officers responded to the 3300 block of Mc Candless Street and found a dead man, later identified as Dwight Deon Hood, 52, in the roadway. A police report indicated that Hood’s body was discovered inside a plastic container that had been dumped in the roadway.

Homicide detectives launched an investigation and arrested 52-year-old Tisha Dawn Hulsey late Monday. Hulsey was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail. It was unclear if she had an attorney.

Hood’s cause and manner of death were still pending Wednesday night, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website.

Fort Worth police said Wednesday that the investigation is ongoing.
