RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA (WTVD) — Raleigh’s Fourth of July fireworks are returning to Dix Park for the third year in a row. And if you want to know what the weather will be like on Independence Day, in a nutshell, it will be HOT.

Very hot.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-90s, with a possible high of 98 degrees. Worse, wind chills could reach 105 degrees.

There is a 20% chance of some scattered showers, but most locations in the region will remain dry.

It doesn’t get too cold at night. The low is expected to be around 76 degrees, so dress and plan accordingly. Sunscreen, a hat, and a refillable water bottle are highly recommended.

ABC11 will once again bring you the main event live starting at 9 p.m. as we countdown to the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
