Michigan Voter Guide Now Available for August Primary

A voter guide containing a wealth of candidate information and other voting resources is now available ahead of Michigan’s August 6 primary.

Created through a partnership between MLive Media Group and the League of Women Voters of Michigan Educational Fund, the guide is located at Vote411.org/Michigan and includes information on all state and federal elections in Michigan, as well as local ballot propositions and many county and local elections.

The website is run by the League, and MLive has again partnered with the nonpartisan organization to develop the voter guide.

Voters can enter their address at Vote411.org/Ballot to find a personalized list of ballot measures and races that will help decide the election on August 6.

Below each nomination, voters can see answers directly from the candidates about their experience, why they are running, and their policy platforms.

All voter guide responses were submitted directly by the candidate and have not been edited by the League of Women Voters, other than necessary cuts if a response exceeded the character limit. Spelling and grammar were not corrected. Publication of candidate statements and opinions is done solely in the interest of public service and should NOT be considered an endorsement. The League never supports or opposes any candidate or political party.

The League launched Vote411 in 2006. In addition to candidate information, the website helps voters find polling locations and times, learn how to register to vote, and more. The website is also available in Spanish.

MLive will continue to publish stories throughout the 2024 election cycle on state and federal elections, along with local elections in and around Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Ann Arbor, Jackson, Bay City, Saginaw and Flint.

MLive’s coverage of this year’s races and ballot issues across the state can be found here.
