Beacon buys two Florida metals manufacturers and expands its offering

Beacon, the specialty roofing and products distributor, announced Monday the acquisition of Extreme Metal Fabricators, LLC, with locations in Key Largo and Palm City, Florida, and Integrity Metals, LLC, with locations in Gainesville and Vero Beach, Florida.

“For more than a decade, we have operated Extreme Metal with a team of craftsmen, estimators and operators whose specialized training and experience are applied to every metal panel roofing system we manufacture,” said Paul Filipe, president of Extreme Metal.

“I am pleased that by joining Beacon, our customers will gain access to a broader offering of roofing and complementary products, including waterproofing and restoration,” he added.

The second acquisition, Integrity Metals, operates in Florida’s North Atlantic region and, together with Extreme Metal, expands offerings to contractors along much of the state’s east coast.

“Integrity Metals is named for our passion for customer service and doing the right thing, which fits perfectly with the Beacon culture,” said Joe Keene, president of Integrity Metals. “Engineers, architects and contractors rely on us because they know we are knowledgeable and reliable, and bringing the Beacon and Integrity Metals teams together in Florida will be beneficial to our employees, customers and suppliers.”

Beacon Florida Regional Vice President Jack Gill noted in the July 1 press release that the benefits of metal roofing are particularly compelling in Florida, where resiliency is critical in the coastal environment.

“We are very pleased to welcome the skilled and experienced teams from Extreme Metal and Integrity Metals to Beacon,” Gill said. “Paul and Joe have built companies that specialize in the evolving building codes in Florida and its counties, helping clients grow their businesses.

“Expanding our portfolio of residential and commercial roofing products to include metal solutions will meet the needs of a growing contractor base in Florida responding to demands for durable, resilient and attractive roof protection,” Gill added.
