Baum Bat NW began the quarterfinals with a lopsided 10-run victory over Prime Red to advance to the semifinals. Surprisingly, Baum fell behind 1-0 after the first inning and didn’t even score until the fourth inning. However, when Baum did score, it was in spurts. Scoring all eleven runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, Baum Bat NW routed Prime Red in six innings, also taking advantage of four errors by their opponents along the way. To keep Prime off the board, Baum pitcher Sam Courtney pitched four hitless innings to shut out his opponents in his team’s 11-1 victory.

One field over, CCB Prime survived a late comeback from GBG Vegas in an epic quarterfinal bout. Entering the seventh inning tied 2-2, CCB Prime’s bats woke up at just the right time: the team scored four runs in the top of the seventh, three of which came on an RBI triple courtesy of center fielder DJ Delaney. However, GBG Vegas nearly scored four runs in the seventh inning, but CCB Prime stopped them just in time, limiting the damage to three and surviving for a narrow 6-5 victory.

Stacked also won in a tight one-run game at the Texas Rangers’ spring training facility during the quarterfinal round. Locked in a pitching duel with Ghost National, both teams scored their only runs of the game in the second inning. While Ghost scored one, Stacked scored two, which was all the team needed to punch their ticket to the semifinals. The hero of Stacked’s day was starting pitcher Jared Marchbank, who pitched a complete game against Ghost National. In his seven innings of work, Marchbank only allowed four hits, one earned run, two walks, and most impressively, he threw nine strikeouts in his team’s 2-1 victory.

FS21 Stars was the last team to make it to the semifinals thanks to their 7-3 extra-innings win over TB Socal Evoshield. Like other teams in the quarterfinals, FS21 didn’t manage to break the deadlock until late. After five scoreless innings, the Stars finally broke through in extras, scoring four in the top of the eighth thanks to two extra-base hits that propelled the team’s offense into the semifinals.
