Three men shot in separate shootings in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said three men were shot within hours of each other overnight in Southeast DC.

At approximately 11:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Pomeroy Road for a report of a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot. He was conscious and breathing.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

About 20 minutes later, around 11:40 p.m., police were dispatched to 28th Street and R Street SE for the report of a shooting. The Minneapolis Police Department found a man conscious and breathing.

He was also taken to the hospital.

MPD then said that at approximately 12:55 a.m., it was dispatched to the 2800 block of Pennsylvania Ave. SE to search for a man who entered the fire station with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
