Jacquie Sinclair, RMT

Jacquie SinclairJacquie graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1993. She began working at the YMCA Sport Medicine clinic where she worked for 13 years until the YMCA closed in December 2006. While working at the Y, she also worked for several years in two different aroma therapy shops where she built up large practices. Following the closure of the YMCA and a well deserved trip to Nicaragua, Jacquie joined Eric Hoppe, Registered Physical Therapist, in opening up Urban Active Sport Therapy Clinic in April 2007.

Jacquie’s interest in sports goes back to her youth when she was both a competitive and recreational athlete in swimming, skiing, curling, goalball and track and field. She enjoys working on fit, athletic people but would never limit her practice to exclude anyone who needs a good deep massage. She has vast experience in both the treatment and prevention of sports, work and automobile related injuries.

Jacquie has taken many continuing education courses to remain current with today’s massage standards. These include muscle energy technique, neuromuscular massage, somatovisceral release, fascia and trigger point release. Her preferred style of massage is deep pressure to the tolerance of the individual, concentrating on trigger points. She has a loyal clientele who consider her to have “magic hands” and have followed her over the years through her different locations.
